Learning about the IRS’s internal policies, procedures and administration of laws directly from high-level IRS officials is monumentally insightful to tax advisors. In this regard, our firm was very privileged to attend Kirsten Wielobob’s (IRS National Director of Appeals) plenary session in Orlando, FL on November 4, 2015. Ms. Wielobob addressed, in great detail, changes at the IRS and dealing with the Appeals Division after significant shifts in its procedures.
